demonstrate the need for greater discussion and – crucially – action regarding casualisation during COVID19 at the Univeristy of Exeter.
We want to know how Exeter’s plans to cut hourly-paid and fixed-term staff might impact student experience, staff workloads & the ability of casualised workers to cope with and to move beyond the current crisis.
Extraordinary General Meeting, Friday 22nd May, 3pm, via MS Teams
This survey has provided crucial evidence that we can take to senior university management when we negotiate the practical help you need. We are doing all we can as a branch to support our members and improve things for you and this survey has helped us enormously. A huge thank you to all those members who completed the survey!
We would like to invite members to consider applying to the Local Hardship Fund. Any claim relating to the January or February payroll must be submitted by the end of May or June respectively. Thank-you to everyone who contributed financially to the Hardship Fund and supported our fundraising efforts.
You can get involved to "build the Union" by becoming a caseworker. You do not need to be a rep to become a caseworker. If interested, please get in touch. Your branch needs your support now. There is also training coming up.
Contact us if you have something you want to be raised, more information to be provided or proposals guided by the well-being of staff, students and the community.
