We want to know how Exeter’s plans to cut hourly-paid and fixed-term staff might impact student experience, staff workloads & the ability of casualised workers to cope with and to move beyond the current crisis.
Preliminary Statement in Response to New Student Internship Advertisements
The branch believes that it is unjustifiable to hire 130 new staff members, when existing staff members who are very well placed to fill these roles are losing their work. We call on the University to uphold its principles for protecting staff during the crisis.

Extension to apply to the Local Harship Fund and acknowledgement for donations
We would like to invite members to consider applying to the Local Hardship Fund. Any claim relating to the January or February payroll must be submitted by the end of May or June respectively. Thank-you to everyone who contributed financially to the Hardship Fund and supported our fundraising efforts.
